| Individual People Pay Themselves | I'd like to invite Toasty Cheese to participate as a food vendor in the 6th Annual Beer in the Woods on Saturday, September 24, 1 - 6 p.m. at LaBagh Woods in Chicago. This is a fundraiser for Friends of the Forest Preserves and this year we expect over 1,000 attendees! Along with 40 regional breweries and cideries, this family-friendly event features guided nature walks, nature-inspired crafts, music, and more. Our attendees get hungry and we'd love to offer them delicious, satisfying food, which is why we hope you'll participate. |
| Individual People Pay Themselves | I'm a member of the Riverside Juniors Women's Charity. We're hosting an event in Riverside similar to Chicago's Duck Derby. It will be a Swan Derby for Riverside's Swan Pond on August 28th from 11am-1pm. My guest count above is just a guess for now as we're still selling tickets. Essentially attendees purchase a rubber swan which would be dropped into the Des Plaines River at the Hofmann Tower Bridge and "race" to where the Riverside Library is. We envision that the Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery would be parked on Burling Road near the library. Prior to and during the swan derby, there will be entertainment for the attendees (games, DJ, bounce house, etc.). We would propose that Toasty Cheese could make a donation to Riverside Juniors or participate in a percentage of sales set-up that some charitable events use. I am not 100% sure what the expectation is at this point (we're looking to keep it very reasonable) but if you're interested in participating I will get that information to you ASAP. | Individual People Pay Themselves | I'm part of the planning committee for the Taste of Roselle, an annual outdoor festival featuring a variety of food from around Roselle and the surrounding areas that takes place on Roselle's Main Street between Park and Prospect, the first weekend of August - this year Friday, August 1 - Sunday, August 3. Toasty Cheese has been a hit at this fest in the past and we'd love to have you back. Hosted by the Roselle Lions, the event is visited by thousands of people over three days and includes many locals.The event also offers free entertainment daily on three stages, an arts & crafts show and kids carnival. There is also a beer tent that serves a variety of beer and a craft beer tent hosted by Pollyanna Brewing in Roselle. Vendor applications are now open and space is filling up fast. I'm reaching out to you knowing that you have a new storefront coming to town and the Taste is a great way to get people hooked on your fantastic food. You'd be a great addition to the offerings.
