I’m a Student Life Coordinator at Elgin Community College and we’re in the process of planning our fall events. We would love to invite you back on campus again this year on Wednesday, August 30th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We’ve had a great success having Toasty Cheese join us for this event in the past so we're excited to extend the invitation again. This event is always a great way for us to support our local food trucks in our community at no cost to you at all. There is no charge for you to be on our campus and you keep all the proceeds from your sales that day. The only thing we ask from you is to provide ONE item on your menu for a specific STUDENT SPECIAL priced $5-$8 (the rest can be your regular priced menu). We will be doing all of the publicity and we will be promoting this event through emails to all employees and students (including featured emails highlighting your food truck and your menu deal), social media campaign (both Student Life and Elgin Community College pages), press release, and posters around campus and our community. We are a craft bottle shop and taproom in Tinley Park and on Saturday, Dec. 21st we have an exclusive beer tapping and pictures with the grinch. (Pictures are from 2-3pm) We expect to have a very large turnout and with it being the weekend before Christmas, we will be busy no matter what. We are conducting a collection drive for the Midwest Veterans's Closet on Saturday, November 16th from 1-4pm at the Byron Colby Barn located at 1561 Jones Point Rd (just off of Rt. 45) Byron Colby Barn | Prairie Crossing. We will also have a resource fair inside the Colby Barn with multiple organizations serving veterans inside. I would love to talk with you about having the Toasty Cheese Food Truck at the event. We will be promoting the event through the Prairie Crossing Homeowners Association and the Prairie Crossing Charter School, as well as the organizations participating. Participating organizations so far include the Midwest Veterans Closet, Lake County Veterans and Family Services, Lake County Honor Flight, and Canines 4 Comfort. | Event Host Pays For Full Event | Hello, I work for Neu Family Dental in East Dundee. We do an annual one day fest to raise money for our Local Fire Department (we call it Fireman's Fest). It is held at a small park in East Dundee The event has typically been raffles, bingo, beer sales and we get local food vendors to provide food for the event. All proceeds go to the Fire Department. I was hoping to create more value to it by having a kind of "Food Truck Fest for the Fire Department". Our draw has been free food, bingo, games, beer and raffles (while supplies last).
